Getting to Know Dr. Liew...

Dr. Sook-Lei Liew is an Assistant Professor, Director, Neural Plasticity and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory Co-Director, with the USC SMART-VR Center. Dr. Liew is educated in the Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy, Biomedical Engineering, and Neurology.

Dr. Liew works at the USC Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute at the University of Southern California.

Dr. Liew's current research is on stroke neurorehabilitation, using big data brain imaging, brain computer interfaces, noninvasive brain stimulation and virtual reality to develop more effective, personalized treatments for individuals with stroke.

A: The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson.

Q: What do you do to keep fit?
A: Running. Trails and road.

Q: What is your favorite thing about your career?
A: Getting to constantly learn new things myself, and watch mentees learn and grow.
