Practice Committee Description
The role of the practice committee is to provide the members of ASNR with the most current and useful practice and technology information. An example of this is the projected ASNR participation in a data collection project of the American Brain Coalition that will focus on the ‘burden of cost’ to the patient and or family with Neurologic dysfunction. This information will be invaluable in future discussions of the extent to which resources and services should be made available if optimal long term outcomes are to be achieved and maintained.
The committee is available to its members. Issues regarding inpatient, outpatient and other rehabilitation services and settings can be raised for committee review and advice.
In conjunction with the Advocacy Committee, the Practice Committee reviews and comments on issues that require ASNR input in the development and/or response to proposed legislation. An example of this activity is our ongoing monitoring of the governments plans for effecting changes in the ’75 %’ rule that has been on hold but is about to become active as new guidelines are being published for comment and expected to be law by October of this year!
This committee is here to support the membership. We encourage submission of questions, comments, suggestions for assessment and recommendations.
We can be reached by e-mail, asnr@llmsi.com or responding via the website or use of the ASNR Neurolist (see Home Page).
