Shepherd Center is a world-renowned, nonprofit hospital specializing in medical treatment, research and rehabilitation for people with spinal cord or brain injury located in Atlanta, GA. We are seeking a physical therapist with a minimum of 3-5 years of neurologic rehabilitation experience to serve in the role of Program Education Coordinator for the Acquired Brain Injury Program continuum. The ideal candidate possesses experience in the interdisciplinary management of clients recovering from brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neuromuscular disorders and has demonstrated initiative in leadership and clinical education roles.
Job Functions:
The Program Education Coordinator functions in the role of expert clinician, educator, consultant and researcher within the continuum of the Acquired Brain Injury Program. Incorporated within each of these role functions, the therapy education coordinator is a role model, patient advocate, change agent, leader and cost-effective practitioner in a designated clinical area. Responsibilities of the Educator may include coordinating educational opportunities for therapy staff, mentoring in specific areas of expertise, coordinating new hire and student orientation, and collaborating with interdepartmental supervisory and education staff to ensure quality patient care.
